Nathan Adelson Hospice Names Sheryl Therrien, RN, as Clinical Manager

Nathan Adelson Hospice, Southern Nevada’s largest and oldest non-profit hospice care provider, announced the organization has promoted Sheryl Therrien, RN, to the position of clinical manager. She previously served as field nurse for the organization.

In her new position, Therrien manages Nathan Adelson Hospice’s north homecare and nursing home teams.

A 44-year nursing veteran, she worked as a primary nurse for Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada before joining Nathan Adelson Hospice. She also previously served as charge nurse for Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas. In addition to her professional duties, Therrien serves as adjunct faculty for the School of Nursing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is certified as a Clinical Specialist and is an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, American Society for Pain Management Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Kappa Phi. Nathan Adelson Hospice is the largest non-profit hospice in Southern Nevada, caring for more than 350 patients daily. In 1978, Nathan Adelson Hospice became Southern Nevada’s first home care hospice with the mission to provide patients and their loved ones with comprehensive end-of-life care and influence better care for all in the community. In 1983, Nathan Adelson Hospice opened the area’s first in-patient hospice, and today the hospice is recognized as a national model for superior hospice care. The strategic goal at the hospice is to be the Hospice of Choice, the Employer of Preference and a Training Center of Excellence.
