Nevada Volunteers (a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization) serves as the Governor’s commission to administer AmeriCorps programs throughout Nevada and as the state’s information and resource center for volunteer and service efforts.

In that capacity, we value and strive to:

  • Inspire individuals to engage in acts of giving and service to enrich their own lives and the lives of others
  • Work collaboratively with organizations and businesses across the state who share our value for service and volunteerism
  • Engage and train volunteers and those who work with them to maximize the power of their service

Each year Nevada Volunteers hosts the Governor’s Points of Light Awards event to honor individual citizens, organizations, and businesses that have provided outstanding service to Nevada. Corporate and nonprofit organizations sponsor this event to recognize the dedication, commitment, and impact of volunteer efforts made during the year. Nevada Volunteers values their partnership and support in providing this recognition.
